When someone commits a
crime, the sentence is supposed to be fair and proportional, not cruel
and unusual. Yet many prisoners face suffering far beyond what any
judge said was appropriate — especially if their medical services are
provided by Corizon, a for-profit company.
Rehabilitation is not possible and is not granted through prison reform. Once a person is in the system, the close scrutiny from the public creates chaos for the offender. The TESTS come from associating with others who have never been to prison nor know the horrors. They are the ones who belong in prison to understand emphathy.
